Easy Dessert

Blackberry Turnovers

I still had half a package of puff pastry leftover from last night - so I made Blackberry turnovers.

No recipe. Took some blackberries out of the freezer, mixed with a little sugar and cornstarch. Spooned on to the dough, topped with 1/2 teaspoon butter, brushed edges with egg wash, folded the dough over the filling, sealed the edges with a fork, brushed with egg wash, sprinkled with sugar and into a 450°F oven for about 15 minutes.

  1. I love easy desserts! And I'm especially fond of turnovers! Blackberry sounds divine. Looks like perfection to me!

  2. When I first married J my répertoire of baking and cooking was so pitiful..Every weekend it seemed our treat were the Pillsbury Turnovers:) Turnovers always bring back memories..yours are no exception..I am just so glad I have had people like you along the way to teach me so many things.
