Cream Cheese Filled Strawberries

I first saw the recipe for these strawberries three or four years ago when Debbie of Mountain Breaths posted them on a cooking forum that we both belonged too.

I remember thinking I have to make these soon.  Well better late than never.
I was lucky to find beautiful, perfectly ripe, sweet juicy strawberries at the market.
Surprising for this time of year.
My initial thought was to make a strawberry shortcake for dessert, but then I remembered Debbie’s recipe.
These are so good.  Moe called them addictive.
Can’t wait for strawberry season.
The only adjustment I made to the recipe was to add more powdered sugar.  I like my cream cheese filling sweet.  And I dipped each strawberry in chocolate before piping in the filling.

Now that looks simply sinful….. Can I have two:-)

  2. Ann, I will be dipping my next batch in chocolate ;o) Glad you and Moe enjoyed them.

  3. I love the idea that they are dipped from the top flat rather than the bottom. I will be making these very soon. Ann, you ae my recipe and cutting board hero!

  4. Mike, you wouldn't be able to stop at two. Thanks again Debbie. Brenda, I wondered if anyone would notice that I filled the strawberries from the top rather than the stem/bottom. It seemed more balanced to me.

  5. These are gorgeous, Ann! I fill berries with a sweetened cream cheese and top with toasted almonds. But I love this alternative…a must try 🙂 Have a great weekend~

  7. Ms. Ann ~ visiting your blog is SO bad for my 'diet'! You took these puppies to a whole new level by dipping them in chocolate ~ omg!But honestly, they aren't as calorie/fat laden as many treats ~ I'm definitely going to try them 'your' way, with the chocolate next time. They are gorgeous!
