Pizza on the Grill

Wanted a pizza but didn't want to heat up the house with a 550°oven
so I placed my oven stone on the grill and preheated it to just over 600°F.

 Pizza Margherita

Hot off the Grill

Simple ingredients.

My favourite sauce.

 Topped with mozzarella cheese and fresh basil.

My Pizza Sauce

A basic outline.  Season to suit your own taste.

1 28 oz can quality Italian Tomatoes
2 cloves of garlic
fennel seed
2 to 3 Tablespoons olive oil
salt and pepper

Puree tomatoes with the minced garlic. Grind the fennel seeds.
Add the fennel seeds and the oregano, basil, and the olive oil and mix together.
 NOTE: I use a stick blender and blend all of these ingredients right in the can.
